Matt is chair of Compassion Connection Ltd and Compassion Services Ltd and a member of the Malyon College council.
Matt was born in Sydney and practised law before he moved into vocational Christian ministry. He is a past Chair of the Crusader Union of Australia, past member of the SIM National Council and the Morling College Council. He is married to Robyn and they have three sons, Stephen, James and Ben.

Pastor Jimmy Hill

Southport Campus Pastor

Jim and his wife Christie have four beautiful children; Chloe, Ezra, Micah and Elijah. They are all very close in age which makes life exciting but hectic! Jim joined CrossLife Southport in 2009 as the Youth Pastor, and became the Southport Campus Pastor in 2014. He loves Jesus and longs for every person to discover the message of the gospel.

Before serving in ministry, Jim worked in Human Resources for a manufacturing company in Victoria. Growing up in Melbourne, Jim has a love for AFL, and misses watching his AFL team live! He loves spending time at the beach, in the garden, and time with family.

Interim Pastor Matt Hunt

Helensvale Campus Pastor

Stu has been the Campus Pastor at Helensvale since 2012. Since becoming a Christian in 1994, Stu has desired to know God better and has used his teaching gifts and pastoral heart to encourage others in pursuing God. Stu’s heart is that every person be used by God where they are, in the relationships he has already established for them through their families, work situations and social settings so that the church might be salt and light all the time.

Stu is married to Julie and they have a son Archie. Together they desire to be a family that love each other deeply and trusts God, so much so that those they interact with, experience God’s love. Stu loves keeping fit and healthy.

Pastor Stefan Maslen

Upper Coomera Campus Pastor

Stefan is the campus pastor at the Upper Coomera Campus of CrossLife. Stefan grew up in the Youth Ministry at the Helensvale campus and enjoyed it so much he eventually applied to become the Youth Pastor in 2006 after completing a Cert IV in Youth Work and a Bachelor of Ministry. When CrossLife merged with Southport in 2012 and simultaneously established our Upper Coomera Campus, Stefan moved into his current role.

Stefan is married to Belinda and they have four children: Elijah, Ava, Elliana and Eden with whom he loves to have a good laugh, play board games very loudly, point to Jesus and build the occasional box of Lego. Stefan also enjoys a good movie, basketball and walks along the coast line.
