ORANGE TIP: for Christmas…

ORANGE TIP: for Christmas...
Christmas time is a great time to reflect on God’s love, the peace and joy He brings and our hope for this life and for our life to come with Him.
Using Advent candles as a family can be a great way to focus our minds on Him and to spend time together as a family with God. The following guide is taken from the KIdzmatter website – https://www.kidzmatter.com/articles/2018/11/20family-advent-resource

Hope: The first candle is the candle of hope. Light one coloured candle to symbolize hope.Read Romans 15:13.

Peace: The second candle is the candle of peace. Light two coloured candles for hope and peace. Read Luke 2:14.
Joy: The third candle is the candle of joy. Light three candles. The third one symbolizes joy. Read Luke 2:10 and Acts 2:28.

Love: The fourth candle is the candle of love. Light all four coloured candles: hope, peace, joy and love. Read John 3:16-17. Christmas Eve: The fifth candle is the light of Jesus Christ. Light all four candles and then the fifth white candle in the middle. Read Luke 1:68-79.

*What is ‘Orange’? Orange is a visual reminder that to help our kids follow Jesus the church and families need to work together.

If RED represents the love and heart of families for their kids…
And YELLOW represents the light that the church should be in the
world… Then ORANGE is when we come together, work together and
guide our children together.*

Happy Christmas everyone!
