ORANGE TIP: Changes…

ORANGE TIP: Changes...

Our circumstances are always changing. Our lives change for the better and worse all the time (hopefully for the better more than worse). We may be able to come to Church/Youth/Work one week and not come the next week for many reasons. We may get sick and not be able to come, and that’s not so good, but we may go on a holiday and that is good.

For me, my work circumstance has recently changed. Partly good; and partly not so good. I had to make a decision as to whether to stay at one workplace or whether my time there has ended. It was a tough decision. So what did I do to help me decide? I spoke to some people who are much wiser than I, I spoke to my boss, and I spoke to God too. A few weeks ago while having a chat with God I looked up bible verses about change. It was interesting to see what God was saying to me. Here are a few.

Jeremiah 29:11 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Deuteronomy 31:8 “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.”

Proverbs 3: 5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

In all of these verses God was telling me to trust in Him and telling me why to trust in Him. He has gone before me and knows what is coming up.
Trusting God in change isn’t easy. But it isn’t meant to be easy, it is meant to be good, and good things aren’t always easy. What is God saying to you? and What are you going to do about it?
