On Sunday 14 March we looked at a well known parable, with a timeless challenge: “love one radically, like you would want to love the many.” Jesus commanded us to love! There’s simply no wriggle room in that but there is plenty of joy and satisfaction alongside the challenge. None of us have the capacity to love everyone the same, that’s simply not possible but that doesn’t mean we can’t love one person, which our Lord brings across our path, like we would want to show love to everyone. I wonder who God may bring across your path? Pray for eyes to see and a heart soft to hear our Saviour’s words to us:…. “Yes, that’s the one I want you to be like the Samaritan too! Show gospel love to them in a tangible way.”

Psalm 84:1-2 says; ‘How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God’. I encourage you, following what we talked about on Sunday, to set aside time to seek the Lord, not because you want something, but that you want God Himself. It is in prayer where we can taste and experience the love of our heavenly Father.
